Dallas Infrared Energy Survey

A Dallas Infrared inspection or Infrared Energy Surveys, use an infrared camera to visually see minute temperature differences that indicate energy loss or transfer. Our digital infrared cameras can see in the short wave infrared spectrum of light. The resulting images or thermograms (Thermal Image), indicate energy flowing into or out of your house or business. The house insulation in your walls and attic insulation limits the flow of energy and moderates the transfer of energy into the house. The infrared camera is like a visual thermometer in the infrared band of light.

Infrared Cameras

We use a FLIR T620 or  Testo 875-1i for our Energy surveys. They are light weight and has great resolution. Much better that the 100 mK specs require by Resnet for Infrared Energy Surveys.  The higher digital resolution of the Dallas Thermal Image allows for wider inspection conditions. That means that we can find smaller energy loss problems than our competition. The cameras rugged nature allows for longer equipment life and that translates into more affordable energy audits for our clients. Your house insulation and attic insulation problems are no match for the power of these infrared cameras.

Infrared Thermal imaging is used to scan flat and low sloped roofs for water penetration and areas where moisture has saturated the insulation. Water under the roof membrane greatly reduces the energy efficiency of the roof and can cause damage to the roof deck.
